There are 2 public hospitals located in the 2 main cities of Honduras. These hospitals are crowded and insufficient. Access to the hospitals is also difficult for the people in the villages since they have to pay a public bus and transportation is not always available. There are some health clinics in the villages, but no medicine is provided. Medical clinics are a great blessing for the people, both in the capital city or when taken up to the villages. We have been blessed in the past by American doctors who have been willing to come and use their knowledge and resources to provide medicines for the sick both in the villages an in the city.
We can hire 2 national doctors for a day and give out vitamins, worm medicine, pain relievers, and other medicine for 60 people with $1,000.
