San Luis Roof (Church at the Mission)

We currently have wood poles supporting the roof but the termites have destroyed it. We plan to replace the wood with metal poles.

Painting Mission House

We have replaced some of old paint in certain areas of the house, but there are still several other areas in which it needs to be repainted.

                                                        Building/ repairing houses

You can build a 12x12 wood house for a family with $1400.  Also, there are several families from the church, whose houses need to be repaired.  Roof repairs, cement floors, building “pilas” (cement water storages) are the most common.

Reaching the Lost!

We encourage teams to gather used clothes, shoes, school material, candy, medicine and toys with their churches and friends to share with the Hondurans. The following are some of the activities that teams can get involved in.

  • Visiting different churches inside and out of the city. Teams should prepare Bible lessons, skits games, and crafts to share with the children.
  • Praying for the sick at the public hospital and homes. Teams can bring hygiene packets, juice, balloons, coloring books, crayons and small toys for kids.
  • Nursing homes sharing devotions, singing with them and sharing a meal. Teams can gather over the counter medications, clothes, shoes, hygiene packets, games, Spanish books.
  • Teaching Bible lessons at the public schools. Teams can bring candy, small toys, coloring books, school material.
  • Preparing a meal and sharing it with the children in Villa Franca. There are about 25 kids enrolled in our feeding program. We feed them once a week.
