La Victoria is a community located in the southern part of Honduras. This village is home to about 80 families 150 of the inhabitants are children. We decided to start a church in this community after we realized that there were people who walked for about 2 hours to get to the nearest service every week. La Victoria doesn’t have the services of electricity and tap water. There is a health Center that is overseen by a nurse and no medicine is available. The territory of la Victoria is not good for farming. Several men walk about 1 ½ hour to get to the next village where they can work in agriculture. The main need in this village is the tap water service in terms of health and hygiene. The poor living conditions of this area makes teachers, doctors and other needed professionals to be reluctant to live and work there.
